Since childhood, Ella Hernandez always had the passion for art. Drawing and painting
were her go-to pastime. Throughout elementary school and middle school, she was
always known as "that girl who can draw." It was not until high school that she felt that
art was not just a passion, but is essential to her well-being.

After highschool, Ella attended University of Houston where she received her Bachelor of Arts
in Communications with a Minor in Studio Art. A year later she moved to Memphis, Tennessee to be with
her family. She continued to paint and worked with different styles to find her own. A friend urged
her to show her work at a gallery. Then in 2007, Ella joined a couple to create the show "Thrice-s."

It had a great turn out and encouraged Ella to pursue painting further. Working diligently in defining
her style, Ella mixed her love for texture, simplistic figures, bright colors and love for doodles
to create the style she has today. In 2009 her pieces were shown in a group show called, "The Heidi Series."

Six months following this show, Ella was able to have a solo show called "Untitled Woman." She thanks all
of her family and friends for the support and encouragement throughout the years. Without them
nothing could have been accomplished. Stay tuned, there will be more shows to come in the future.
